"High Frequency High Speed Data Link" is a project that we are working on
to allow for long distance wireless data links for our wearable computers
and wearable thin clients (see Diskless "wear client".
A major problem with wireless communications is distance vs. power. For a standard
WLan (Wireless Lan) transceiver 10,000 - 15,000' is the maximum operating radius.
We will be attempting to create a modulator based on random carrier frequencies
that will be less suseptable to interference and allow for lower power transceivers
to communicate further distances.
As we finish projects related to this area, the articals and information will appear here.
